I saw a commercial for a new Kojak tv series starring Ving Rhames. That ought to be interesting. A black Kojak LOL.

I saw the commercial too. Will it be set in the current time or will the show be a retro-70's setting????? Anybody know? I would like to see a retro-70's look to it.

P.S. I can't wait until Kojack season one and Columbo season two come out on dvd.

I agree that Telly Savalas is the only Kojak but I'm willing to give this show a try.

Though I am not fond of any type of remake of a classic television show, I do agree with you on this one, I think if the new Kojak did have a 1970s setting it would make this progam more interesting...

Roselyn Sanchez is gonna be on the new Kojak tv show cause i've been seeing commercials for it a lot lately. Roselyn is smokin hot. She was in Rush Hour 2, Boat Trip, Basic movies for those who don't know who she is.

I've been able to watch about three of the "new" episodes so far and I think it's pretty good, actually. I was a little disappointed with the last episode I watched, though, because I saw at the beginning that "Heche" from the Sopranos was guest starring. I think he appeared for all of two minutes near the end of the show. LOL! Hey, I'm a sucker for the old, classic programs of the 1970's but this program is pretty good, IMHO. And trust me about the only "new," "current" program that I ever watch is "Law & Order." So the "new" Kojack is worth a peek, IMHO. I find the story-lines interesting as well.

Default The New Kojak is OK, but....

as good a job as Ving Rhames is doing with the role, he is too much of a superhero, and the show is too much "The Ving Rhames Show."

After watching shows like 'The Shield' and 'The Wire' with strong ensembles creating authentic-feeling characters, this show seems mediocre by comparison.

Overall, I like the show, but think it could be better.

Did anyone see the episode on this past Sunday when they were trying to find the sniper???? I watched it but I was up doing something and missed the part where he went into the prison. I thought that part was unrealistic. They wouldn't let somebody go into the prison just like that and walk through all those prisoners in their cell-block. LOL! I missed the part why Kojack had to go to the prison. I mean, obviously, that prisoner had the info he needed. But what I mean is how was it that that particular prisoner had the info that Kojack needed????? Can someone please explain that part to me?
