Default Do you think that Geri Reischl bore a striking resemblance to Eve Plumb?

When I first saw the Brady Bunch Variety Hour I thought that Jan was being played by Eve Plumb. Nick at Nite kepy talking about a fake Jan but I really did not take notice until I saw her name in the credits and took real notice. I thought she was an excellent replacement for Jan if it was really necessary to replace her. Leah Aryes("Marcia" :The Brady's) and Jennifer Runyon("Cindy": A Very Brady Christmas") unfortunately did not do the predecesors justice as far as resmblance or similarities goes. Geri Reishel was a good replacement and a pretty good singer. Opinions, Anyone?

Wow -- I really disagree. Not only does Geri Reichl look nothing like Eve Plumb (aside from the blonde hair), but she's a gratingly horrific actress as well.

Here's a link to pictures of Geri from the variety hour, because I'm curious to see if anyone else thinks she looks like Eve.

In the pictures she doesn't totally look like Eve Plumb. Her hair is darker, much like that of "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!" in the later years.

For me she does resemble Eve. Leah Ayers and Jennifer Runyon look nothing like Marcia and Jan. Becky #2 on Roseanne had a few resemblances to Lecy Goranson but their personalities were different.

At the time I thought she looked younger than Cindy, but she was actually about the same age as Eve Plumb.

I don't see a resemblance either. To me, Geri Reischl looks more like Maureen McCormick than Eve Plumb, but I digress.

Sorry Thomas, I never thought they resembled each other. I was so shocked when I first seen Geri and thought, "She looks nothing like Jan."

That's probably part of the reason why The Brady Bunch Variety Hour never TOOK OFF-lol

Fake Jan + ill-conceived premise = Bad show.

And we can't blame Sherwood Schwartz for this one, either. Although he did agree to let Sid & Marty Krofft produce this abomination. I guess they figured it was working for Donny & Marie Osmond, so why not the Bradys?

Geri Reischl looked like a valley girl to me, whereas Eve Plumb looked more earthy.

I think I remember hearing that the idea for the Variety Show came from the Bradys appearing on the Donny and Marie Show
