There are so many stories I'd love to get updates on like many on this board
I saw this story again last week about the 3 women in the boat, this speed boat came out of no where and drove literally full speed right through their boat. The one woman had her face nearly ripped right off. The speed boat had a woman and a guy, and the women were yelling at him to help and he just stood there in his boat and said something to his gf/wife? then he speeded off.

I will never forget this case. Ever. It was chilling. I cannot believe that someone never turned in the guy since others HAD to have known he did it. That girl was so brave!!!

This was a disturbing case. I can't stand the fact that this person is out there probably living his normal life with no disregard about what he did to the girl whose face was pretty much ripped off.
I think what makes this case extra difficult to solve is the fact that the boat driver and his girlfriend were probably vacationing at that lake, and being from out of town, maybe living hundreds of miles away, theres not much chance of them returning to the scene of the crime. |

True...but what always gets me on these types of cases is you would think after all these years that someone would have "talked" or that someone watching UM would put 2 and 2 together with someone they knew that was there, etc. If I recall correctly, they had a lot of details about the suspects to offer the public.....

I don't know if this is one of those kinds of cases where someone talks too much which leads to a capture. With many murderers who like to kill, they can't help but brag to others about their dirty deed. This case, however was a little different. These people, most likely weren't your typical killers. They were just acting like a couple of idiots driving recklessly and stupidly which lead to this horrible accident. They probably never even meant to hurt anyone in the first place. Their biggest mistake was being cruel and heartless enough to ignore the ladies pleas for help after the accident, choosing to save their hides and leaving the ladies to die, for all they knew.

I too was disturbed and captivated by the hit and run, so much so that it inspired my 16th novel that's coming out this October (In Too Deep, St Martin's Press). If anyone has any more information on this, for example, names of the women involved, I would love to get in touch with them. Perhaps my book could revive the case with publicity, as I want justice for those women. My book is about a woman who lost her father and was scarred because of a car hit and run when she was a girl. When a young girl in Miami is involved in a hit and run boating accident and is also scarred, my heroine throws herself into finding out who did it to find closure and justice for both of them.

this is the one case on UM that actually made me feel naghteus. just hearing the descriptions from one of the other women about what her friends face looked like before they got to the hospital was pretty damn disgusting, she went as far as saying the skin on her entire face was ripped off

TCU,
Don't know if this will be useful or helpful to you, but I used to live in this area and worked at one of the papers there. I remember the Denton Record-Chronicle covering this case when it happened as well as the Dallas Morning News. Also, I remember the Dallas Observer doing a big piece on it at one point a few years after it happened. The guy that wrote it had a huge fight trying to come up with some documentation about it from law enforcement agencies. I can probably figure out bylines to search under if you need them. |

Hey dynoguy. for some odd reason everything I typed in for the address well it cut almost all of it off. why I'm not sure. It's kind of strange. Try the search engine and come back hear and you try to type it in, I bet it does the same thing. Why I'm not sure, maybe there is a few words or numbers in there they don't allow hear. Or maybe the address is just to long. In any event good luck.
www.senate.state.tx.us/75r/senate/members/dist12/pr97/p052097a.htm I typed it again I don't know if this will work, it might come out like the rest. |
