I'm tryin to hook up two VCRs and dub a video, but I can't figure it out. I have an RCA jack with Yellow and White ends.

I plugged the Yellow end into Video out of the main VCR (the one with the video I'm copying) and the White end into the left channel of Audio Out.

I plugged the other end to Video IN and Audio IN of VCR 2. It only has one of each, no left or right Audio.

Is that it? Cuz it sure isn't workin.....

You should really get a 3 prong patch cord. The vcr's you are using have stereo sound. If you only use a 2 prong patch cord, you'll get less than great sound.

That being said, you should have the "video out" of the vcr you are playing the tape on, and the "video in" on the vcr you are using to record. If that's what you are doing, my apologies. It was hard to tell from what you wrote.

I've made that mistake once or twice myself.

If that's not it, if you're using jacks on the front of the vcr, make sure that they're set to their respective "out " and "in" for the front. One of my vcr's can have either up front, you just have to tell it what you're using it for. Another of mine can only do "video in" in the front jack. If you don't know for sure, you're best using the labeled jacks on the back of the units.

To reiterate:

1) get 3 prong cord for stereo sound dubbing
2) "video out" on the play deck
3) "video in" on the record deck.

Your inputs sound fine, if I understand correctly. I bet the problem is that you don't have the recording vcr on the proper channel/input to accept the playback vcr's signal. Usually it's called "Line" or "L", or "Ext" and is usually found below channel 2 (or 1 if you have a channel 1 on your vcr).
