I have now seen both the original 1960 version and the more recent 1998 remake. They are both so much the same,it was like watching the same movie all over again.About the only differences are the actors and the eras.Oh and of course one other difference is the original was a black and white movie.Having seen the original, the remake was so predictable. However there are some minor differences I noticed in the remake I find worth pointing out.The openning skyline scene read"Pheonix Arizona 1998"as opposed to the original opener which just read"Pheonix Arizona".When the original actor who played boyfriend Sam opened the hotel room window revealing the city skyline,he had pants on.When the 90s Sam did the exact same thing,he was naked
.In the scene where a cop discovers Marion alseep in her car out in the desert,Janet Leigh's Marion had to open her car window by turning a handle.Whereas Anne Heche's Marion just had to press a button for her window to close automatically. Not to mention,in the original scene where Marion enters her office,Alfred Hitchcock himself can actually be seen standing outside on the street corner.
