Default What was the most serious thing happened on the show?

To me it was when Vanessa and her friends got drunk. Other than that, everything seemed happy and normal.

Lmao. You mustve forgotten about when Vanessa and her friends went to BALTIMORE to have BIGGG FUNN!!!
Synopsis
(They went to see that band "The Wretched" and lie dto their parents saying that they were going to see the band in the city(NYC).Then there was a fire on her friend's block. The family got so worried thinking she and her friends were there sleeping over at Kara's house , until they saw on the news that Kara's grandmother said none of them were there and the parents were'nt home. Then Claire mentions the concert outloud and wonders if they are still there and Denise informs her that they werent allowed to play in NY after their last stint. Then it airs that the band is actually playing in Baltimore. Then Cliff and Claire find out that one of the girls brother's car was stolen in a parking lot and stripped and that they went ahead to Baltimore anyway after asking the waitress in the diner where the bus stop was locateded!!
Then they got robbed and hustled. So sad. All to have"" BIG FUNN!!IN BALTIMORE!! WITH THE WRETCHED""

Lmao. That was serious!!
Claire jumped in her face and said"GET UP STAIRS!"

I almost thought that that was my own mama on the screen. That was the first time you really saw her get that angry.

That one was the realest moment I think.

That whole scene with Clair yelling at Vanessa is indeed a good one, and it's adapted straight out of Bill Cosby's stand-up routine.

I think the one about the drinking was the most serious, since more kids participate in drinking then going out of town for a concert and have all that stuff happen, so morally the drinking was the most serious
Big Fun was serious acting
there are many times when the family was serious though...

Theo and the joint
Cousin Pam and the birth control

there are more but I cannot think of them right now.

Well this could be serious,
Rudy not wanting to go to school because she didn't have any breasts yet.

"I waited all summer for them".

and then she uses the bust enhancement cream.Been there, done that.I thought it was great when Rudy says to her Mum,"You can say that because you've got them" and Claire said,"But i wasn't born with them!"

I think the episode where Cliff's friend comes over to talk about a Carnival or something and it's revealed that his daughter had a serious drug problem. Also the episode when Theo's friend had cancer.

Default Baltimore have "Big Fun"

I loved that quote. However the dreaded syndication cut one of my favorite lines:

Clair: Wasn't that what you were doing Baltimore, Vanessa? Huh? Having Big Fun? Well what kind of Big Fun did you have? Well, let's see....you had doughnuts!

That line would crack me up and you can tell that it was cut if you listen closely to the dialogue.
