Default I got something in the mail from Leah.

Today I was looking through my mail and I stumbled upon a religious type book I think. I looked through it a little. Then it came with a sheet of paper that had a letter on it from Leah but It wasn't handwritten. It must be a holiday thing. Did anyone else get this?

Yeah I got one too. I read through it a couple of times and I thought the advice was pretty helpful.

It's a little booklet based on the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard and the Scientology religion. It's called "The Way to Happiness". It's actually pretty interesting and a lot of the concepts are helpful.
The actual letter is typed and says:

"Dear Friend,
My mother gave me this book when I was in my teens. It really meant a lot to me because I had something (other than my mom,'cuz we don't always listen to our moms) to try and live my life by.Although I knew these things in the back of my mind, it kept me out of an awful 'lot of trouble.

I find now, the best part of the book is no matter what religious beliefs one holds, these are precepts that one can easily live by.

I hope this book may help you or someone you love.

Happy holidays!

Love,
Leah"

There's a website if ya wanna know more too. --->www.thewaytohappiness.org

and why is Leah Remini sending people letters about religion? Are you guys on her mailing list or something? Guess who isn't on it and will never be... Me.

Well I thought it was a kind gesture. I don't think we're on a mailing list but I think she sent it because we requested for her autograph this year. And why are you jumping off on her like that? It's not like she's personally insulted you or anything.

Perhaps she just wants people to be more aware of the religion. It's not like she is forcing them to convert or anything. Guess who she probably doesn't ever want to write to her...You.

How do you know she hasn't?

It's still a little weird for her to be sending things like this to people she doesn't know. Send the autograph and leave the poor people alone, Leah Remini!!!!

I think she needs to spend a little more time at the gym, and a little less time mailing religious handbooks to people.

I've written to many celebrities over the years, and several of them have sent other things down the road in addition to the original autograph. I think it is a nice gesture to do, showing that they took the time to take down the address and all. It's nice to see some celebrities putting forth the effort to show that they care about their fans. Leah also sent along a holiday greeting with these booklets. I don't see any problem at all with what she did. Anyway, you didn't receive one, so don't worry about it.

I don't think I'd use the work "religion" in the context of Scientology. I suppose the government might recognize it as such but really, I can write some sci-fi books and start a theology in my back yard too. Are you buying into it?

And Leah Remini is the last person on earth I'd ever listen to about anything.

Well, that wasn't really my main point anyway. I'm not too familiar with it, and I could personally care less about it. And no one said you had to listen to Leah about anything...

No, but using fame as a vehicle for your personal beliefs is reprehensible in that you take advantage of people's adulation to further your own personal motivation.

And there is no doubt in that in what she did.
