On the SVU show where it had Alex Cabot going into hiding, wonder why there was such a turfwar between the SVU and the DEA since they could just put aside their differences and work together. I mean the DEA started the "argument" saying like their badge is bigger than your badge. The feds feel they could do anything they want to do and get away with it without being caught. Interfere in a local or state investigation unannounced when they should be charged with interferring and stonewalling.
At least when the DEA agent who got blown up to bits was being nice in the end. |

This seems to be a theme on all the Law and Order shows. Many times the local cops seem to have their run ins with the federal agents, and not only the cops but the DA's as well. I am not sure if this is really true in real life. My brother in law is in federal law enforcement. I can ask him if there is much head butting between the local jurisdictions and the federal ones. I do know there are supposed to be clear laws as to what is a federal case and what is a local one.

But what seems to bother me is that the feds can come on and think they can take over, which it's call butting in, however they please and whenever they want to at locals and state law enforcement officials expense. It's called the Patriot's Act. The feds need to sometimes keep out of other people's business and know when and/or when not to butt in people's business.
