I can't remember the name of this show - I think it was a sitcom. There was a male neighbor who would always come in the window, never the door. I think he finally came in the door on the last episode. Please Help!!

Could it be "Clarissa Explains it All"? I used to watch that show a lot during its run on Nickelodeon, and I remember that Clarissa's friend Sam always came through her window.

That sounds to me like Please Don't Eat the Daisies. Jim Nash's friend and neighbor, Herb, would always come through the window of Jim's study. As I recall, he always timed himself with a stopwatch.
