Is anyone else frustrated by the lack of story updates?
I realize updating segments requires both time and money but it would give long time UM fans like me something to look forward to. Even if they said something like "As of 2004 they were no new developments" would be helpful. Maybe Im being unreasonable, what do you think? Cber |

I absolutely agree with you! There are stories that I know have updates but Lifetime just doesn't bother. How much effort would it be to type something on the screen to let everyone know.

Good point. I don't see how printing an update would be too much trouble. It should only take a few minutes to do. So the complaint doesn't sound unreasonable to me.
My advice would be to write to Lifetime, and give them that idea. |

I dont see how Lifetime even loses any money by updating? not like its a back-breaker to type up 20-30 words on the screen and end a segment earlier
cheap bastards

I think they've actually done what you've suggested a time or so.
Specifically, I recall a typed UPDATE shown (to creepy music) after the segment of the homemaker who'd disappeared a year before- and her husband, relatives and former co-workers were interviewed and desperately seemed to be trying find her. What was interesting was the police suspected the husband had had something to do with her disappearance but, at the time of the segment's production, her relatives were all SURE her husband had NOTHING to do with her disappearance and were totally united with him. Well, the UPDATE told of how (nine years afterwards), the husband had shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend and then was chased by police to this wooded area not too far from his house where he took his own life! Despite this odd locale, police did NOT find any trace of the wife who'd disappeared ten years prior. Whether the murdered girlfriend knew of the wife's disappearance (or even had been told details of something more sinister by the husband) OR had been seeing him even BEFORE his wife had disappeared was unexplained in the UPDATE, though. Creepy! |

What Im wondering is...how did the show's creater/producers, etc. decide they would handle the future updates of the show? You know, at board meetings or whatever? Certainly they had to have discussed it towards the ending of the show?? I think they owe that much to loyal viewers.
