If anyone is planning on getting an ipod mini soon or is getting one for Christimas, you might want to read this. I have a pink one that I love. I ordered mine way back in January as soon as they were announced they were coming out. I've used it just about every single day. Until about a week ago I started hearing all this weird static on it. My first thought was my headphones were getting old and I need new ones. Or at least I HOPED it was my headphones. Why would the ipod go bad after only having it less then a year. Well, I searched at google and found a bunch of articles about people with ipod minis complaining about them having static on them! Here's one particular one:
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/20...d-static_x.htm So, right now I'm debating what to do. I don't want to return because I have 633 songs on there that I LOVE and don't want to give it up. So, I'm just giving a little warning that if you have an ipod mini and hear static, you are not alone! |

I have a regular IPod for Christmas last year. It doesn't have any static than the mini one does.

Yeah, I know. It's ONLY the minis that have the static. I think they're saying because the buttons are all together on one dial and that makes the static somehow.
If you have a regular ipod, you don't have to worry about it. |
