A Different Type of Survey

Surveys seem to be really popualr on SO, the only problem is that the questions always seem to be the same. Most of the questions also require a basic "Yes" or "No" response, which does not allow members of SO to really get to know one another. So I've tried to come up with a different sort of survery. There are only ten question but they require more then a simple "Yes" or "No" response.

girlfriend or boyfriend. How did you meet this person? I knew her since 1st grade but i wasnt her boyfriend until 4th grade. it ended in the beginning of 5th grade

2. Why were you given this name? It's a female version of my dad's name, Ramon.

3. Do you know of any interesting stories involving your birth? No, just that my mom was in the hospital waiting for my arrival around three days since I am her firstborn child.

4. What is your first memory of? I have two, but I can't remember which is my earliest memory. One, I remember standing in the kitchen during my potty-training days (two years old) that I accidentally "went" in my big girl panties. I was scared my parents would get upset. Two, I remember this scary wall hanging cutout of the Pink Panther that used to scare me so much! I hid it under the couch and don't remember my parents finding out it was under there.

6. Who are your brothers and sisters? My sister's name is Reyna.

7. Who are the kids you grew up with? Ah, my sister and I had fun childhood friends! Ah, memories.... they were Leah, Crystal, Keara, Robin, Ivy, and Mark.

Oh, I've been out of high school for more than five years! Yes, my life IS way different than during my high school years. I've cracked a lot of my "shy shell" I once possessed. I am a lot more torlent and open-minded on many different subjects.

10. Who do you look up to more then anyone else? Oooo.... good question. I don't think I have any one person in mind.

2. My parents decided early on that if I was a boy I would be named Michael and if I was a girl I would be named Jennifer. I'm not sure why they choose these two names, other them maybe just becasue they were the two most popuar names in late 1975. My mom found out she was pregnant in December of 1975.
3. Though I was born in August of 1976, it was very cold for the summer. It was something like 55 degrees outside. My mother went into labor early in the morning but I was not born until six in the evening. I was also born about two weeks early.
4. My first momory is when I was only two years old in 1978. I remember going to the store with my dad to buy a loaf of bread. I remember that it was Butternut bread.
5. I'm not really like either of my parents. Though I am told that I'm a little like my mother was at my age.
6. I have an older sister and a younger sister. My older sister is named Shaina and she was born on June 5, 1974. My younger sister is named Michelle as she was born January 19, 1983.
7. The friend I've know the longest is named Jill. From 1979 until 1985 we lived about a block away from each other. We were also in the same kindergarden. Though my family moved in Feb. 1985 and hers in May 1985 we have remained friends to this day. I've been friends with a guy named Jim since we moved to our current house in 1985. He lives three houses down. There is also Jason. Jenny, Kevin and Greg, who I have been friends with since high school.
8. My first girlfriend and the only "serious" realtionship I had was a girl named Erica. I first meet her in 1988 in 7th grade English where she sat next to me. I was really attracted to her and I thought about her all the time. When I was near her I had that ache you get in your stomach when you really like somebody. However, being shy I never worked up enough courage to ask her out. I saw her sometimes in the hallways in 8th grade and freshman year during passing periods. As luck would have it we ended up in the same math class during sophomore year. The teacher would often have us work in groups and she assigned Erica and I to work together. I finally managed to work up the courage to ask her to homecoming. She said yes and as they say the rest is history. Of course many stories do not end with a happy ending. Erica had cancer and she died on July 6, 1994 about a month after we graduated. By that time we had been together almost three years.
9. When I was in high school I expected that by 28 I would be married and have at least one child. This has yet to happen.
10. The person I look up to more then anyone else is John Lennon. Not only was he a brilliant songwriter, but I like what he stood for.

Why were you given this name? - my father's side had a longstanding tradition of naming the eldest son William, my mom wanted Russell, somehow they compromised, and I ended up with the middle name "Williams" through some clerical error that was never fixed. (oh and my full name is NOT "Robert" BTW)

Do you know of any interesting stories involving your birth? - My mom had so many "false alarms" that when she said "it time" at 3:00AM, my dad said that he was going to eat breakfast FIRST, so mom said "SCREW YOU" and drove herself to the hospital. When she parked in the AMBULANCE parking, and they told her she couldn't park there, she squeezed out of the car and told them she'd be back to move it in an hour. She went inside and after 25 minutes of labor, I made MY appearance, at which point my mom's dad (who was approximately 3000 miles away) woke up suddenly and started trying to call my mom. I think my dad was still having another plate of scrambled eggs.
