What was the cause of Jim Davis (Jock Ewing's) Death. I know it's been reported that he had a gastric ulcer and was suffering from that during the 1980-1981 season of the show. I also read on another message board that he had some kind of cancer during the last season and had to wear a wig because of the radiation treatments. I was just wondering what the actor died of?

It was cancer although I remember originally at the time it was reported as being an ulcer.

I'm pretty sure it was lung cancer. Jim smoked like a train, from what I recall, and that was where the cancer began (I'm 99% positive).

Jim was suffering from brain cancer, and it caused complications during the operation for his gastic ulcer.
