Beaver vs. Hockey - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I just read an article about hockey (did they cancel it this season or something?)...anyway, apparently the ratings of the last Stanley cup showed that more peopel watched Leave it to Beaver than the Stanley cup. HA!!!

How cool is that HaskellGirl? I believe it is canceled due to a labor problem (lockout) but we don't follow it at all down here!

Basically what it boils down to is that the players want more money. You know, the athletes are unbelievable anymore. They already make an astronomical amount of money and they get to have a great time playing a game! What a dream job! For once I wish they would try working their ass off and get paid the piddly amount that we get, maybe they would be thankful!

Another thing that drives me nuts about them is that they know that they are role models for kids and yet they can't stay out of trouble. Man...having all that money must be very difficult!

Sorry for rambling on but it's a sore spot with me.

I haven't cared about hockey since the Bruins won their last Stanley Cup---which was way back in the Dark Ages of 1972.

Hey, I'm not knockin' 1972! That was a great year.....I graduated from high school in '72!!! I wish I hadn't said that.......I feel old now. LOL!
