I know, I noticed that too, he was smart in the first couple of seasons then they made him stupid. They did that with Hangin With Mr. Cooper's Vanessa, she was smart in the first seasons, then in the middle they made her dumb, then in the end they made her smart again. And they did that with Three's Company's Chrissy also. I don't know why they do that.

Eric was much funnier when he was dumb though especially when he would call for Feeny:

Mr Feeny.........Mr Feeny.......MR. FEEEEENNNNNNNYYYY!!!!

I wonder why Mr.Feeny never went completely insane, not only
did he live next to the Matthews family, but he seemed to teach
every level of grade Eric and Cory were in!

Yeah, I think the producers made Eric a little too stupid in the last couple of seasons. It was sort-of a dumb move b/c it made the show less enjoyable to me anyways.

I Think Eric Was Way Funnier In The Later Seasons, Though He Was Highly Dumb. My Favorite Characters On The Show Where Shawn, Eric And Topanga, So I Pretty Much Paid Attention To Those Characters.

It bothered me a lot. Whatever happened to the Eric who was just a little stupid but had great hair. I love the show but it got to the point where I just wanted him to shut up.
