I feel that 75-85 was the best era in Tv history. So many of my favorite shows and other Tv programs are from this era. Even Sports was better during this era. 1985-95 was good until 1991 and then i don't know what happend

I would say 75-85 for the sheer number of classic shows that premiered in this timeframe. There were some good shows between 85-95 like Roseanne, 227, Golden Girls, Seinfeld, Ellen and The Simpsons, but nothing like the number of shows that premiered between 75-85

come to think about it, 74-84 and 84-94 seem to work better as distinctive eras than 75-85 and 85-95. Because Good Times and Happy Days, both classic shows premiered in 74, and Cosby Show, Night Court, Who's The Boss and Murder She Wrote all made their debuts in 84, all of which became classics and launched a new tv era, and then Friends premiered in 94 and that launched another era.

85-95.
Cheers, Seinfeld, Friends and Frasier. I know Cheers began in '82, but it didn't start gaining popularity until around '85, and it lasted well into the 90s, so I'm counting it. |

Definitely 1975-84... it truly was the birth of tv for me. After that tv became a little too samey.
Also loved things like Automan, V, Just Our Luck, 8 is Enough, Battlestar Gallactiva. Britcom was also good during that period... Are U bEING sERVED, Only When I Laugh, Mind Your Language. |
