Julie Andrews Cinderella
Today they finally released the original Rodgers and Hammerstein production of Cinderella with Julie Andrews on DVD. I'm amazed by this - for years I honestly doubted whether this film truly existed. Being a film collector for over a decade, I could not find a copy of this anywhere - none of my bootleggers could find it! So this release is wonderful. For those of you who don't know, this production originally aired on television in the mid 1950s, before being remade by Lesley Ann Warren in the '60s and Brandy in the '90s. And I just watched this film on TV tonight, and I have to say the original is the best.

Thank you so much for posting this information. I had no idea that the '57 version had been preserved, let alone that it would ever be released! I've just located it on Amazon, and it's now in my shopping cart.
