All we know is that he was a childhood friend of Gomez's. It doesn't say what happened to him.

It could be that Thing is one of a race of independant Hands, since LadyFingers is a female, and they became engaged --and presumedly married or cohabited, as she was seen in the Addams Family Halloween special in the late 1970s.
![]() Maybe you're asking: WHY a hand? After all, there are previous shows/films/books about werewolves, vampires, mummies, etc. the idea must have come from those severed hand films. The crawling hand.." on and on. But to have "a helping hand around the house." Friendly, instead of enemy. Like the Betty Crocker hand. ![]() Which reminds me: ever since Jay Leno did that sketch using that hand, I am stuck with that image every time I think of the Betty Crocker hand/ovenmitt GROSS-OUT DETAILS FOLLOW: READ AT YOUR OWN RISK: ![]() ![]() A mom and her kids are in the kitchen. the mom wonders what to cook for dinner. Suddenly the Betty Crocker friendly ovenmitt appears. The boy screams in fear: "MOM!!!!!!!" She whacks it with a broom. The poor Helping Hand groans, "WHY????" collapsing. Next scene, the mom and kids are eating the Helping Hand, having cooked it for dinner. "I want a thumb," says the boy. ![]() Sorry for grossing you all out. |
