Topanga and Cory - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Didn't these two hate each other when this show first started? She was this "freak" girl with a weird haircut who Shawn and Cory harassed and made fun of. Then all of a sudden, she gets a makeover, and suddenly Cory is head over heels in love with her. Then later on in the series, Cory shares stories about how they have been in love with each other since they were 5 or 6? Yeah........right.

There were a few episodes in the first season when Cory liked her. The Mother's Days episode in 1994 when they had their first date at his house and then her debut on the show when she was written off as a nerd along with Minkus and the other geeks. She kissed Cory on that episode. I was so glad to see her get a makeover in the second season because to me she would have never made through junior high.

In the episode where Topange moves to Pittsburgh and runs away back to Philly to be with Cory, he tells how he's known since they were 2 but when he was 6 Eric told him boys shouldn't hang out with girls so he threw sand at her and they weren't really BEST friends after that

yeah. I thought I heard that he was in love with her ever since they first met each other.

did she have another makeover besides the one when she cut her hair. because if I remember correctly they were together long before that weren't they.

So many people ask about Cory and Topanga, and it just makes me mad because there's nothing in this story that doesn't make sense! They met when they were tiny kids and had crushes on each other. During the show's first season, Topanga was going through her weird stage (I had one of those in sixth grade, too) and Cory was going through his hating girls stage. Then Cory started seeing Topanga in a different way as they entered high school, and they started going out together. Topanga was growing out of her hippie thing and Cory was becoming an adolecent boy instead of an abnoxious little kid. I really don't see what the problem was. They didn't hate each other in sixth grade, they just teased each other like all kids do at that age!

They were a really cute couple...they almost remind of how me & my highschool sweetheart were! They had their share of problems, but they always seemed to work them out!
