Default Has Stabler & Benson Ever Had Feelings For Each Other?

Have they ever had romantic feelings for each other or have they ever tried to date one another? I think they would make a good couple. I didn't know Stabler got a divorce from his wife. What happened to cause that? Was it his job?

As far as I know they've never had a thing because he was "faithfully" married. Stabler isn't divorced yet they're just separated and yes it's because of his job. I don't think they make a good couple. They're both too head strong IMO.

His wife, Cathy, filed for divorce. They would make a good couple, but once that happend the series would be over. I think maybe once an "almost" sitiuation could happen. Other than that a relationship between the two would destroy the show.

im not sure if it would ruin the show. i mean it would make things a little weird at first but i think it would be cute. definitely interesting to watch. lol. but if things didnt work out which usually happens in shows then ya the show would prolly go down the drain or one character would leave.....or something not so great would happen. but i think it would be kinda cute

THEY CANT!!!!!!!!!!! I think it would ruin the show. Just my opinion they are too good of a team to tear apart by relationship.

Default I dunno

I am not sure they are really suited for each other. He tends to be a bit controling of emotional situations, maybe another reason he is having trouble at home (besides not being there enough for his family.... I would HATE to be married to a cop...). She is the kind of person who needs to be in control of her own life, and situations too. Two control freaks usually don't last long in the relationship department. There was one episode a few seasons ago where Olivia had someone stalking her, killing her victims to 'save' them from her brand of justice (that was a weird episode). Anyhow, when Stabler tries to provide her some measure of protection from this creep, Olivia gets very resentful towards him. Kinda tells me that a relationship between them wouldn't go far.... I mean, I could see a fling, maybe in the heat of a tense situation, but it wouldn't last. IMHO

They're not compatible as a couple IMO. As a team they're o.k. Relationships in these kinds of shows ruins the drama, again IMO.
