I thought the show was fine just the way it was, at least for the first 3 seasons.

Whoa, there. Do away with the Kotter apt scenes? Including the side-splitting exchanges where Vinnie's bumming food, but doesn't like what they have? "You got any liverworst?" "You got any root beer?" No matter how many different lunch meats or sodas they had in their tiny fridge, he always wanted something else. And the window entrances and exits alone are worth any scene in the apt. Oh, and don't get me started on Julie. I just have this thing for her and Emma Peel. Esp. before the enormous glasses. Very cute.
