How many people besides me thought Mr. Kotter's uncle jokes before and after the episode were god horrible?

I remember the episode where Gabe and Julie were having Thanksgiving dinner at the end and Gabe tells an uncle joke to the turkey.

Yeah, they were incredibly lame

I can remember him telling an uncle joke to Santa Claus in a Christmas episode and I think he told one to a stuffed toy, I think that was the episode where Julie found out she was pregnant.
