Default What neighborhood in Queens do they live in?

I think it is Woodhaven although on 12/8/04 episode they show address on their front door and 31-21 cannot be in Woodhaven that could be anywhere from Long Island City to Astoria to jackson Heights to Flushing to Bayside. But the house and the dog park which says corona in show actually emulates the dog park on park slope south in forest park in woodhaven. any people from or familiar with queens have any thoughts on this?

I thought they lived in the Rego Park section of Queens (wherever that is).

Yeah I've been wondering the same thing. I was thinking probably Astoria. But Doug did mention something about Rego Park. And another thing is they go to Cooper's a lot which is in Glendale which just makes it more complicated to determine exactly what part of Queens they live in.

I know there was a episode where Arthur was trying to be a father figure to Holly and was teaching her to ride a bike. He sat up cones in the backyard a down then down a alley that when down to Queen's Boulevard , maybe that helps a little with the location.

Default KOQ neighborhood

this is my argument as to why i believe it is woodhaven. the house though very generically queens like is in particular very woodhaven like, a neighborhood in which i reside. also the dog park which i initially mentioned exists in forest park in woodhaven even though in show it says corona! the movie theater they go to is on liberty and atlantic just south of woodhaven. the gym world gym i believe is on woodhaven blvd. there is a white castle just off of woodhaven blvd on queens blvd. i mean there is a real mish mosh of queens locales throughout but i am convinced the house exteriors they show are from row houses in woodhaven. coopers though in glendale is just a short ride on the other side of forest park drive. just as an aside according to the house number on spidermans auny mays house it too is in woodhaven i believe! on the last episode 12/08/04 they showed the house number for the first time that i can recollect. having a tivo helps in this regard. also deacon and spence look like they live in forest hills areas. just north of woodhaven. anyone else have any observations.

That is true..although the World's Gym they always go to looks a lot like the one in Astoria. Deacon lives in Lefrak which he mentioned in an episode [I forget which one] and Spence definitely lives around the Forest Hills/63rd Drive region. I'm still convinced Doug and Carrie live in either Rego Park or Woodhaven. It may also be Astoria or Woodside..lol

Default rego park

the only problem with the rego park theory is that the house they show and i believe they show upwards to three different houses at different angles (exclusive of the actual set of the house) is that these house(s) are not indicative of rego park. If you know the neighborhoods of queens you will know what i mean. houses in sunnyside look a lot different than houses in bayside. and so on. i wonder if any one has any scripts of KOQ that may give any info? has carrie ever mentioned what subway line she rides?

I think Carrie once mentioned that she rides the F train.

Ok the stops the F makes in Queens are Jamaica 179 St, 169 St, Parsons Blvd, Suthpin Blvd, Briarwood/Van Wyck Blvd, Kew Gardens, Union Tpke, 75 Av, Forest Hills, 71 Av, 67 Av,63 Dr Rego Park,Woodhaven Blvd, Grand Av/Newtown, Elmhurst Av, 74 St Broadway, and Queensboro Plaza so that might help. But then again she might switch trains to get to the F and she may just refer to the F basically because it's the train that takes her straight to her job.

Smile I see

I have seen in a couple of eppy's they shop at the Queens Mall and I have passed by the Queens mall going into the city if we are coming from seeing relatives in Long Island to bring my brother back to his college apartment there we went over the triboro bridge a couple times to the city from Long Island so it looks as if they aren't too far from the Queens mall whatever town in Queens that is.....

Another hint we have passed by a sport's stadium around there the Stadium once had rides to some Carnival a few months back.Sorry for my ramble.Mel

hello all. The Heffernans live on Aberdeen (im not sure if its ST. or Ave.) it is definetly in Rego Park. It was mentioned in one episode, though I cant remember which.
Maybe one of the Raymond episodes? Not sure.

Rego Park is where that Worlds Gym is also on Woodhaven Blvd. And Aberdeen is like 2 minutes from the Queens center mall
on Queens Blvd.

Coopers Ale House is in Glendale where he hangs out. About 10 mins from his house.

Ive had many a drunken nights ay Coopers!

Their neighborhood doesn't look a lot like Rego Park but they mentiond living there in an episode so I was pretty sure that was it. And Deacon lives in Lefrak City [though the neighborhood looks a lot nicer compared to Lefrak. Anyone ever been there?] and Spence lives around 63rd Drive near Forest Hills and Rego Park.
