I got a question for anybody who knows....what state were the hillbillies from? I know they are from the ozarks, does that mean missouri? (I have a bet going w/ a friend)

I think it could be in Missouri,since when they went home to attend a fair,it was at Silver Dollar City-which is in Missouri.But still,I doubt producer Paul Henning really intended for them to come from any actual state.Some shows keep locations vague so more viewers can feel closer-to-home.

I think they're from TN, cause, Granny always talks about the TN hills! You know, goin' home to the TN Hills?!!!!!! So, I think it's in TN.

Granny was a native of Tennessee but the rest of the clan was from Missouri. She had obviously moved from Tennessee to Missouri earlier.
