I wonder how much more "legs" this show would have had writing-wise if it continued. The later episodes are funny so I think they may have been able to do another quality year or so. Then Eddie would have been getting older and that might have presented a problem as well as keeping the show fresh. What do you think?

Some of the final episodes are some of the funniest.
Dr. Frankenstein: "Yohann, we are guests in this hotel. We do not eat the furniture."
What I've been harping on and on about.....COLOR!
A third season would of guaranteed that. But, you would of hoped that it wouldn't had made the writers lose their stride in the quality of writing they were accomplishing in the second season.
That tend to happen with 1960s shows that went from black and white into color in the 1966 season, didn't it?
