Did you ever wonder who lived in the apartment across the hall from Laverne and Shirley in their original Milwaukee residence?In California their next door neighbors were Lenny and Squiggy,but you never ever saw or heard anything from the apartment door seen directly across the bottomfloor landing from the girls.They so often made such a racket,that you would think their next door neighbor would occasionally appear with complaints.

I think that it was a kindly old, retired couple, who were coincidentally both deaf.

Speaking of their loudness, I have a little story about Laverne & Shirley that dates back to the 1970's, before I was born; my mom told me this a few years ago.

Apparently, my mom watched Laverne & Shirley and my grandmother would tell her that she couldn't stand that show because all the girls ever did was YELL!

Did Laverne yell? Hehe! Well, Laverne was very loud at times, er, ok, she was very loud and obstreperous, but her roommate, with her piercing shrills of disgust. I wonder if they ran adds for Asprin during that time slot.

I'm feeling crazy right nowcause it's 9:30a and I'm usually in bed, but here:

Asprin Commerical:

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, my head hurts, my head hurts, I need some-thing to make this pain stop!
Just take some Asprin!

Laverne:

People say I have a big mouth
Me and Shirl should probably fly south
That's what the neighbors always say
But, just take some Asprin!

I can't help if I'm Italian
We're all loud and I ain't lyin'
They'll have to plug their ears somehow
So, just take some Asprin!

Shirley squeals when she cries
The neighbors don't make a fuss
But when I yell, they all call the fuzz
Just take some Asprin!

Is there a way I could get a break here?
I make a living capping Shotz Beer.
So you can drink it with your pizza...

Shirley: Laverne, no! That's all wrong.

Laverne: Whaaaaat? I'm doing a commerical, here.

Shirley: Yes, but "pizza" doesn't rhyme with "beer."

Laverne: Well, it goes together. When you eat pizza, you drink beer. Doesn't everybody?

Shirley: Laverne, can I finish the song?

Laverne: It's my commerical, not yours.

Shirley: I'm mentioned in the song.

*Laverne shrugs*

Shirley:

I make a living capping beer,

Just take some Asprin, yes Asprin
