Anybody know what the Clampetts use the pool cues for? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Dang! I can't remember the cutsie name they gave the thing. But they thought the pool table was a dining table. And they used the cues to slide the food around.
Food-slider? Dish-passer? I hope someone can help me out here... Now I have a question for you. How can you know that they used the cues for something but not know what for? Is this a contest question or something? |

You got it...it is a contest question. Kind of a long story, but whoever can answer the most out of 10 "Hillbilly" questions wins.
I talked to my dad and he seems to think they called them "pot-passers". Does this sound accurate? Thanks for your help Perderabo. |

Your "Paw" was right....they were called pot
passers, and Jed whittled some to a point and they called these meat stabbers....granny thought the top of the table had something sticky spilled on it, and that's why she couldn't get "that green tablecloth" off.... Jed suspected the people who lived there before them perhaps weren't a clean.... |

I remember when Mrs.Drysdale's father,Lowell Farquar, taught jed that a game called Pool could be played on the table-with the,"pot passers."He thought he'd win a lot of money from Jed,but Jed won the pool games. It may have been his first try,but as he said,"It reminds me fer all the world a' ricochet shootin'"

And don't forget why they thought the "billiard" table was built so sturdy. They thought the rhino head on the wall was a "billiard" and the table had to be sturdy to hold him. Jed: "We figured that since this was the billiard room and this was a billiard table that critter there must be a billiard. Kindly plain, ain't he? If that's the part they put on the wall I'd hate to think what the rest of him looked like."
