Agreed. From his quote, you get the sense that it was a mild stroke, so that's a good thing. My mother suffered one just over a decade ago but thankfully, she's doing just about as well as if she never had a stroke.

Dick Clark hospitalized for stroke

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Longtime "American Bandstand" host and pop music producer Dick Clark has been hospitalized in the Los Angeles area after suffering a stroke, a spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

"He did have a minor stroke and he's in the hospital for that reason but he'll be fine," spokeswoman Amy Streibel told Reuters.

The 75-year-old Clark, who helped make rock music palatable to mainstream America with his clean cut nationally televised "Bandstand" has been one of the country's best-known television hosts since the show's debut in the 1950s.

"American Bandstand" helped promote the careers of Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and Chubby Checker.

Anybody know where i can find the early 80's theme song to American Bandstand? I used to love that show when i was a kid. Sorry to hear about him having a stroke. I hope he gets better. His New Year's Rockin Eve program every year wouldn't be the same without him.

I just read on Yahoo.com his New Year's Rockin Eve show might be put on hold cause ABC network doesn't know whether Dick is gonna be able to host. They might get Jimmy Kimmel for his replacement i read.

The New Year itself should be put on hold until Dick Clark can host.

He graduated from SU, which is about 10 minutes away from my house.
And most likely where I'll be going to college.

Yeah the New Years isn't the same without him, the one year he didn't host New Years Rockin' Eve the ball dropped like 2 seconds too late
