Hi,

First of all, the show has not been released on video in Europe, or anywhere in the world with PAL format for that matter (only in NTSC, for instance thru a video club in the U.S.).

So if you can´t receive it on any TV station (perhaps you can access any foreign channels, which air the show), your only option would be to get someone to record it for you.

I may be able to do it for you, that depends on how many episodes you want. I´m quite busy so I really don´t have the time to record dozens of tapes, but if you just want a tape or two, that´s no problem. I only use 240 minute tapes, so that obviously means 10 episodes per tape in SP mode.

I have most (if not all) episodes of Family Ties. I live in Sweden, so my copies are with Swedish subtitles, which I know can be annoying (they still have the original sound though), but they are in PAL, so it´s no problem with the formats.

I have recorded for several other people in the past, so it´s no problem, as long as it isn´t too much.

Feel free to e-mail me, and we can continue discussing it more privately.

Sincerely,

Daniel Hofverberg

Actually, somebody from Japan e-mailed me a few months ago and said some videos (of the later episodes - I think they mean the early seasons) were available in Japan which I believe uses the NTSC format also..

Hi,

I have also heard that some episodes has been released in Japan. I believe it was as rental video, according to a person that e-mailed me.

But you´re right, Japan uses NTSC too, so it doesn´t help in this case. My point still applies, that there are no PAL copies officially released of the show.

Sincerely,
