Strange cameos on "Roseanne" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was watching an old Roseanne episode. I wasn't watching closely so I don't know how it began but they were in a parody of Gilligan's Island.

At the end of the show they were back at the Roseanne household, but each of their counterparts from the earlier sequence were playing the Roseanne characters. Bob, Tina, Russel, and Dawn.

The strange thing was seeing Tina Louise, since she has always distanced herself from all things related to GI.

i think dan wanted to build a boat in the garage and roseanne wouldnt let him, so someone said somethin like "well how much trouble can u get on a boat?" and thats how they got there, if i remember. one of the few episodes of roseanne ive seen

the ending credits were funny though, as you said. tina was roseanne, gilligan was roseannes sister, russell was the other daughter's boyfriend and dawn was the younger daughter. david, the younger daughters b/f, was the same in both worlds, and each time, the gang would say "Hi David!" really cheerfully, and he would just be scared

The GI cast was better as the Roseanne characters than visa-versa.

Agree with you Vicki!
Was not huge fan of Roseanne, but that one had good levity, and was nice to see Tina Louise make a cast appearance, eh?

Bob Denver's son, who makes props, made the foam coconuts for that episode!, and I of course, have a signed one!
My avatar, needless to say.

Also have a signed SS Minnow paper model.
