Default Joey and the ratings week 11

Joey returned to NBC's Thursday night lineup with modest results. The eleventh new episode of the series sunk to another record low, pulling an estimate of just a 7.4 rating and a 12 share, notably below the 8.0/13 for its last new episode two weeks ago. With an estimate of 11.38 million viewers, Joey ranked sixth for the night (ahead of a Will & Grace rerun), as shown by the preliminary ratings.

1. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Repeat): 15.5/23

2. ER: 12.0/20

3. Survivor: Vanuatu, Islands of Fire: 11.8/18

4. Without a Trace (Repeat): 11.7/19

5. The Apprentice 2: 10.8/16

6. Joey: 7.4/12

7. Will & Grace (Repeat): 7.0/11

Despite airing two hours of repeats, CBS still averaged a 13.0/20, crushing NBC's second-place 10.0/16 for its lineup of primarily new programming. As of last week, Joey ranks nineteenth in the season-to-date ratings with an 8.9/14 average. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has a stranglehold on the number-one spot with an 18.2/27, while Joey is the number-three sitcom behind Everybody Loves Raymond and Two and a Half Men. Joey airs its final new episode of the calendar week next Thursday night.

This weeks ratings hit a series low- 10.2mil viewers and a 3.7/11 in adults. At this rate, the show is not going to make it to season 2.

The top sitcoms are now: Raymond, Two and a Half Men, King of Queens and According to Jim. Pretty soon Rodney will have more of an audience than Joey. Right now Rodney is averaging 9.58 million viewers (not counting the last new episode which brought in 10.2 million viewers -- same numbers as this week's Joey) .

Ouch.
Hopefully with Survivor out of the way, we'll see the ratings raise.

Um, only Raymond and Two and a Half Men are ahead of Joey in season-to-date ratings.

And Joey is on its way to a second season.

I wouldn't put money down on it. Why do you think NBC is pushing sitcoms so hard for the winter? They know that Joey is not working, and Will & Grace is getting too expensive to keep at the ratings levels it's at. The sitcom really is dead on NBC.

Ummm why would NBC give Joey a full season order? I think it will get a 2nd Season, yeah the ratings aren't the greatest, but they're not that terrible

Actually, the ratings are pretty bad.
But NBC has nothing, so they'll stick with it until they do find a hit.

NBC's having a bad season all around. None of their new shows are hits and a lot of their returning show's ratings are down. I was hoping Joey could be the answer for the declining sitcoms ratings but it hasn't. Their really isn't a breakout sitcom hit this season.

Hopefully theere will be one next season. The drama situation was pretty dire before this season and then all of the sudden, DH and Lost both land in the top 10. Maybe it'll be a lesson to the networks to take more risks with sitcoms and get away from all of the tradition stuff. Thank god for Arrested Development and Scrubs.

Well, it came from my friends at Warner, so I assume it'd be true.
