my psychiatrist diagnosed me with depression when i was 12, you could start seeing one and determine whether you have it.

symptoms i have (and have had for a long time)-

Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" mood
Feelings of hopelessness, pessimism
Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, helplessness
Decreased energy, fatigue, being "slowed down"
Difficulty concentrating, remembering, making decisions
Insomnia, early-morning awakening, or oversleeping
Thoughts of death or suicide; suicide attempts
Restlessness, irritability

From the looks of your symptom list, I'd say something is wrong, but only a doctor can properly diagnose you.

I'm sorry that you're feeling this way. It must be awful. Please make an appointment with your doctor who will refer you to a specialist.

How old are you? If you are say, 12,13 ,14 years old it could be that you are going through puberty. When I was that age I felt that way all the time! It's a rough time of life! But the older that I got the better I felt about things! I sure hope that whatever age you are that you will get help and feel better soon! Good luck!

I'd see a psychologist and then go from there.

Make sure it's someone you click with, though. It took me over a year to find someone who was good. My first one said "Gee, I really don't think you're depressed. You just want attention". So I found a new one this past March, and she is my saving grace, along with my psychiatrist. I'd be lost without them.

It just takes time to find someone. Make sure your insurance covers them also, they charge an arm and a leg.

Your response indicated that you’ve had thoughts of death or suicide. If you’re thinking of harming yourself, call 911 immediately (or other local emergency phone number), and contact your doctor right away.

"doctor? hey, i've been cutting my wrists for the past year and i feel like killing myself."

All the above apply to me... all except "hardly eat." I'm a peculiar one. I'm a binge eater... thought I was cured....But I guess not.... I hovered over the toilet today for the first time in months... I wanted to self-induce purge... sigh. But anyway, I'm sorry you're feeling this way. Go to your doctor and tell him/her about. S/he'll be able to help you by prescribing some drugs or something... I don't know. I'm not well acquainted with this kind of stuff. But yeah... just know you're not alone. Feels like ****, I know...but... what can you do about it, right? It's a chemical imbalance, or perhaps it's just your subconscious.. or maybe it's both. Either way, have it checked out.. Meanwhile, stay strong and treat yourself well. You're the most worthy.
