That's too bad. They invented the PC as we know it. I for one will be sad to see them go.
I guess old IBM's will be worth even more now... |

Too bad. I guess they couldn't keep up with the cheapies like Dell. Plus, it seems as if in recent years, Compaq/Hewlett-Packard was coming out with better computers.

if you read the rest of the article, iit does explain that although we will still be seeing IBM's desktops and notebook computers, the company making them will probably be in China. IBM would just sell off that portion of their business, which may or may not include the use of the IBM name on the product.
Whether the quality and reputation stays the same is a different question altogether..... |

If I had invested in IBM in the early '80s, which is when I thought about doing that, I'd be a millionaire right now. I kick myself for dropping that ball. Dangit!
