Default Second Time Around: Doing Hard Time Movie

Boris Kodjoe is the star of this movie. I saw this on the shelf at Blockbuster Video last weekend. It just came to video. Rapper Sticky Fingaz & Reagan Gomez Preston are also in this movie. It's directed by Preston Whitmore who directed Civil Brand movie with LisaRaye, N'Bushe Wright, Monica Calhoun, Lark Voorhies, Tichina Arnold. It's about Boris has a son who gets killed cause he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. The police aren't doing anything about his son's murder so Boris takes it upon himself to do somethin about it so he ends up gettin locked up for somethin stupid just so he can confront his son's killers in prison. I'm gonna have to check this out. I tried to rent it last weekend but all the copies were gone.

I saw that on the shelf tell us about when you get it. There must be a straight to video industry? I've seen quite a few black oriented movies on the shelf that I never heard of.

You don't know about straight to video movies? LOL. There has been so many straight to video movies since the mid to late 90's. Master P's first movie was straight to video & it's called I'm Bout It. He's been doing straight to video movies ever since. He did a movie with Melissa DeSousa called Lockdown that came straight to video 4 years ago & it's very good. I was surprised too cause he does a lot of garbage straight to video movies.

I've heard of straight to video but I didn't know there were so many of them. I'm hestitate in watching them because, well I can't get that time back if it's a real dog!!! As a matter of fact I've seen two with Brian White (Nigel Muse). One was Redemption, not the Jaime Foxx movie. He was trying to be a actor and fell off in to drugs not much else happen in and around that. The other one was Me & Mrs. Jones. He played a advertising man and his older female boss wanted him a her "pretty fine thang"! She was shower him with gifts and job promotions. Then dude fell in love with Kim Fields. After that stuff got pretty ugly! Mrs. Jones was not amused! This movie wasn't bad the only thing I didn't like about it was that some sissy tried to hit on Brian! That part had no place in this movie!!!

I saw Doing Hard Time last weekend & it was good. You should check it out MarvinG. Jazmin Lewis who was Ice Cube's wife in Barbershop movies was Boris's girlfriend in the movie. Boris's wife who got killed in the movie played in the movie Hav Plenty & she is very attractive. I saw Brian White in a movie last weekend called Trois 3. Trois 3 is very good. Brian plays a gigolo in the movie cause he works for a male escort service for this woman who owns a nightclub. Reagan Gomez Preston is one of the women he romances & he falls in love with her. There's a sex scene where Brian has sex with Reagan & the woman who he works for. That scene was hot. Reagan has really grown since Parent Hood tv show. She is very hot.

I saw Trois 3. Three problems I had. Why would a grown man's mother go to his job and thank his boss for hiring him and why would he tell her that he worked there considering what his doing??? The Reagan character just came out of nowhere with that devious backstabbing stuff. There should have been some suspicious behavior early on.

Doin Hard Time - was bad, sorry!! The writing had holes in it you can drive a truck through!! I watch too much CSI!! The film from that camera could have determined which one shot the boy. Why beat a cop to go to prison?? Why not just wait till the killer got out and get him why go too prison! He beat the cop with pool balls in a sock o.k how did the cop become handicapped whearing diapers?? Since when do women stand guard watching over men taking showers!! They could easily sucker punch her and rape her!!!! How could that fat illiterate inmate take over all of a sudden he wasn't second in command?? I could go on but why???!!! Thumps down on Doing Hard Time! Thumbs up on Trois 3.
