We often list our favorite episodes, but what about funniest moments? A lot of my favorite moments come from episodes I don't list as favorites all the time. I can think of many secens where I was laughing so hard I was close to crying lol. So, what were the moments that made you laugh the most?

Here are a couple of mine I can think of right now:
1) In "Book of Samuel" when Sam tells Diane, Woody and Carla that he's going out of town and one of them has to be in charge of the bar. Then they all want to do it so he tries to decide who's going to get the job with all these weird games, and in the end he ends up picking Woody because "he's the only one who hasn't annoyed the HELL out of me in the past five minutes!" (or something close to that). THEN he tells Woody, "Okay, first rule, keep this [the bat] with you at all times." 2) In Executive Suite when Sam is on the phone with Martin Teal and Rebecca wants him to tell him they are together so Martin will leave her alone. He calmly says to Martin, "Hold on, there's... a fire here" so he can say something to Rebecca. The way he says it, it always cracks me up. 3) In "And God Created the Woodman" when everyone in the bar tries on the shoes that they ordered from Cliff and they squeak. Then the guy who's vase was broken at the party (who was he? I forgot) comes in not remembering who had broken it at the party and says he can't remember because he was drunk the night before. Now he seems mad about his vase when the night before he was fine with it. So Woody comes in, unaware he's now mad, and starts to admit it was him. Rebecca tries to stop him by yelling "FIRE!" then everyone at the bar starts running to the door- with their shoes squeaking. (hmm, why do these last two both have to do with fire? lol. Kinda ironic since there later WAS a fire.) 4) In "I Will Gladly Pay You Tuesday" when Sam is starting to get worried that Diane isn't going to pay him back his $500 and is getting irritated because she's buying other frivolous things. So she buys Girl Scout cookies and offers Sam some and he takes a few and smashes them, then he takes some more and smashes them. Then he calmly goes, "I shouldn't have had that last one." I know I have a lot more but those just came to me! |

I only have time to name one, for now, of course.
"Everyone Imitates Art" - Diane finds out that Sam got a poem published and she didn't! HAHA! I loved how Diane came into the bar with all these books, trying to prove that Sam forged that poem (that ciggerette alone was worth it all) My brother pointed out that CHEERS is a smoke-free bar (well, until Rebecca came there and caught the place on fire - GEEZ!) The scenes in Sam's office were great! Diane finds out that Sam kept all her letters! Great episode, IMO! |

I've seen a few people smoke at Cheers, other than Rebecca burning down the bar. The girl who bought Woody at the auction springs immediately to mind.

I love the cold open where Norm and Cliff try to hit on these two women who are really into them, but all Cliff can do is squawk and Norm releases this really high-pitched moan. Gets me laughing every time.

Most of the time they're throw away jokes that would work at virtually any point in the series. |

Funniest Moments....
The "Get Gary/Shave Sammy" scene in "Bar Wars III: The Return of Tecumseh" Also, in "Bar Wars III: The Return of Tecumseh" -- the greatest Normism of all time -- Sam: Whatya up to Norm? Norm: My ideal weight if I were 11 feet tall "Thanksgiving Orphans" from start to finish. And, although it's not the funniest, it's my favorite scene of the entire series. Two words -- Screaming Viking. |

Anyways, another funny moment was when Carla took ahold of Diane's face and dragged her into Sam's office! |

I can't think of the episode but it is where Diane can't believe that women fall for Sams pick-up lines. At the end Sam starts a line on Diane about the color of her eyes and she's falling for it bigtime! He then says "Wouldn't work huh??" And Diane is lost for a moment and then says it would never work on an intellegent woman. As shes walking away she takes a drink that shes bringing a customer and slams it down. Sam just stands there with a grin on his face.
