Thumbs down anemia

Anyone else ever been anemic? Gah...I'm tired of being on-and-off anemic. <-- Bad joke. haha Anyway, I guess I'm all anemic again because for 3 days straight my mom kept looking at me and telling me I looked really pale. And I sleep too much.

No,but I've had several relatives that have been that way,
you may want to see a doctor,Anemia can sometimes damage
your kidneys,Maybe you can be prescribed iron pills or something,
anemia sometimes is due to lack of iron supplements in the body.

I AM!!!!! I just was diagnosed (well, not JUST...I was always suspicious of being slightly...but now I definately am or something) Yeah, supposedly its whats making me so tired all the time, take iron etc...and I lose like 10 gallons of blood during IT...so...I guess that has something to do with it.

OMG, I was anemic all through high school!! I would get home from school, be dead tired, and sleep 2-3 hrs. and have dark circles under my eyes. I even took iron pills and they didn't seem to help me, either. Once in a while, my mom would ask me if I was doing drugs.

I remember one time, a man from the blood bank came to our science class, he was discussing anemia, and he put a drop of my blood in this blue liquid. He said if it had alot of iron in it, the blood would sink to the bottom very fast. It didn't even sink halfway.

It can either be low blood iron, low vitamin B12, or low folic acid.

For the most part, it makes you tired, weak, gives you headaches, and you become more pale in your coloring. It can cause more extreme symptoms like dizziness or a rapid heartbeat.

My doctor mentions it everytime I see him for a physical. He put me on iron pills, but they don't seem to help. I'm constantly tired, pale, circles under my eyes, etc.

I've been anemic since I was born. I hate it, I am constantly tired, I bruise easily, get dizzy easily, and ALWAYS have headaches

I have to take a multivitamin enriched with iron once a day.

I haven't seen a doctor about being anemic but I do have a feeling that I am. I live with my boyfriend and he is a vegetarian so I don't eat meat as much anymore. Ever since I moved in, I've noticed myself being tired and sleeping all the time. I should really take some vitamins or something and get some iron in me. Or eat eggs or something.

I am and I am right now, I look like utter crap, terribly pale with dark circles under my eyes, and yesterday, I slept for close to 20 hours.

Mmhmm, same with me. I'm pretty pale and can sleep for hours and hours and when I wake up, still be tired.
