I nominate Chambers president.

And the two clubs can get together and play baseball against each other...

haha

But I resent "pretty cool." I think the appropriate Dianist style would be "Good Lord, Diane was a fine character."

Can one of you bigwigs change the title, then?

Also, look at the last post on bored for another title suggestion.

Well, yes.

But on the plus side, we'd always win.

I would so join if there were a GLISFC for Diane.

Only it would be a GDISFC. Silly me.

I mixed both. I feel we should have Good Lord...because that's what she'd say.

Anyway, I think people can edit their own titles now.

Ok...so...

Ahem. I will come up with a constitution for this later. For now let's think about why you came to like Diane as a character.

actually, it's GLDGDC.

Ask Chambers, she's the president. Cause, well, in my head, at least, I equate her with Diane. Except when I'm equating her to a neurotic Bostonian academic who has a job lugging things from point A to point B.

See?

Haha. Oh my God. That's scary. And with you...all you need to do is move to Boston and I'll be officially freaked out, Lilith.

And yes, GLDGDC.

I was young, my hormones were raging, I thought Diane was hot. After awhile(not too long) I thought she was very funny.

I think because she showed how irritating the intellectual elite could be at times, how contradictory their beliefs could be...

...and sometimes, some of us need that.

Also, her character pretty much paved the way for Frasier's character...and can you imagine a world without Frasier?

Not really, but okay.

Fine then. I request permission to join the GLDGDC.

Diane first reminded me of my mother. Which I guess I thought was cool...when I was 6. Over the years I realized what an original and incredibly funny character she was.
