Default Recording from VCR to VCR

I'm trying to record a movie to another tape. I sat there for 2hrs and the other tape had the football game playng on channel 4 and not the movie. I reviewed the instructions and now for some reason, the VCR that plays the movie is n ot showing it on the tv . I read the manual and all it said was to put the same color cables in the proper places. Any more suggestions?

Sounds like a mixup in the cables... you sure everything is connected??? Check the TV and the VCR.

The recording VCR should be playing the movie while it records it. You put the recording VCR on AUX. The one with the origional tape in it you have on play.

I've got a copy somewhere of the instructions I used when I first did it. I can find it if you need me to.

See, my VCR plays the movie on channel 3 and there's no AUX buttons. When I try to record the movie to the other vcr; you can watch the movie but at the other end there's no signal when you replay the tape.

To record on 2 VCR's, you need RCA cables. RED and White for the audio, and yellow for video. Your VCR's must be available in stereo. Plug your cables in the output in one VCR (Playing), and plug the other end in an input in your second (Recording) VCR.

Make sure your tape is not copy protected with Macrovision. Otherwise, it'll give you a scrambled picture on your recorded tape.

I record (DUB) from VCR to VCR alot and I have 1 tip....

If the audio is low,DONT BOTHER DUBBING because it very well be much lower on the destination tape!!

Now I have had SOME COPIES where the audio hardily dropped at all (Doesnt seem like it did) but usually it does..
