Sanford and Son DVD Problem Need Help

On some of my Sanford and Son DVD collection all of them I bought new. there are usually one or two episodes on the DVDs that freeze up on me and wont play.One episode that does it really bad is from season one called the copper caper I think.Is there anything I can do that will correct this problem? and my Sony DVD player works fine so please help me thanks in advance

Well there is nothing you can do to correct the problem. That freeze scene that you are talking about is called a layer change. I forgot what it means exactly but it has something to do with REMASTERING the eps on DVD. I was wondering the same thing when i first noticed it. The scene freezes for about 10 seconds. Which is why DVD's will always be OVERRATED to me. But it has nothing to do with your DVD player
