Default why so mean and nasty?

Lately the "humor" has become so mean and nasty.

Always complaining, putting down, me me me....no redeeming traits to the main characters at all. I don't find anything to like about them. Why should I watch such horrible people every week? Can't they EVER be nice? They used to be much more likable.

I don't notice any more meanness than wasn't in the first few seasons. You are familiar with the Carrie character right?

Yeah really but I don't see her too mean but very sarcastic sometimes .....

Plus if the person dislikes the characters so much....They don't have to watch the show right KOQ folks.Mel

She was always sarcastic but not mean..like the other week taking credit for her assistants work. Put downs and insults are funny if there is an underlying love between the characters. To willfully hurt someone is NOT funny.

Doug was always self centered and unaware of how he was hurting those around him. Now he goes out of his way to be nasty
...like diverting the poor (nice guy) new driver to NJ just so he would not have to compete with him for laughs at work.

At one time Doug appeared to love Kerry now it look like a divorce is right around the corner.

bring back a little warmth.

Hurtful by accedent... then remorseful.. FUNNY

Flat out nasty .. NOT funny

I think the show has gotten to have a very nasty tone to it as well. I know all shows must go thru some changes over the years and the characters naturally get older but Doug and Carrie have become downright nasty. Carrie just looks nasty even when she is trying not to be.

I agree, She's the only person on the show that I can't stand because of her nastieness. (sp?) I still love the show.
