Too bad that "Wings" never had a Thanksgiving episode. It could have been funny....having a bad storm in Nantucket so nobody could travel home for the holiday, and all of the regulars being forced to spend the Thanksgiving holiday together.
Helen and Fay could prepare a nice Thanksgiving feast, and then get REALLY mad when Joe, Brian and the rest of the guys won't pull themselves away from the TV set while a football game is on... I can hear it now....Fay would be getting steamed, but she would TRY to be nice as she sweetly said, "Boys, please turn off that TV and come to the table....the dinner's getting COLD!", until Helen blew up and yelled, "OK, get your butts over here and eat....NOW!!!!!" Antonio could be sitting at the table, getting completely grossed out by America's traditional Thanksgiving foods....turkey stuffing, jellied cranberry sauce, etc.: ("In my country we don't have food that wiggles out of a can.") Ah yes, Thanksgiving with the "Wings" gang....It could have been VERY funny! |

Nobody in the family picked up cranberry sauce. Ned Dorsey obsesses over cranberry sauce for the whole episode because he says that Thanksgiving just isn't Thanksgiving without the cranberry sauce. Ned (Clutching napkin, sitting at the table): It's going to be a good Thanksgiving, it's going to be a good Thanksgiving, it's going to be a good Thanksgiving... Amanda (Walking by): By the way, Ned, your yams are burning (Ned proceeds to slam his forehead to his fist on the tabletop) |

I could so see all of that happening! I can hear Antonio saying that about the cranberry sauce, too. Can you imagine if Casey was around for this? She'd be complaining all the time about being stuck on Nantucket for Thanksgiving. And don't forget Roy having to go visit his mom! Kristen |
