Cool KISW 99 Top International songs!!

This past Sunday, KISW played the top 99 international songs, in other words, bands from countries other than America, as voted online by KISW listeners. This list is very strange, only one country was a non-English-speaking country, and four bands were listed: the country was Germany, and the bands were The Scorpions, Rammstein, Accept, and Dokken. DOKKEN??
Aren't they L.A. hair metal?? Actually, the band formed and toured in Germany before they made it big over here (well, they were very popular, but never really big in America). The band members were American. So why weren't Lacuna Coil from Italy on the list, and no Yngwie Malmsteen from Sweden, or Dimmu Borgir from Norway??

99: Rush: Spirit Of Radio
98: Nickelback: Because Of You
97: Billy Idol: White Wedding

John Lennon's "Imagine" looks so out of place on a list with Black Sabbath mentioned several times

Excellent list. A bit disappointed though that Lacuna wasn't mentioned

That's what I hate about voting online at KISW. You feel like you have to make the "safe" choices, the predictable ones to make the list. These so called "rock" fans are probably not even aware that Lacuna Coil is from Italy. They probably think New Mexico is a country.

WHAT???????????? The Russian band Avtograf, the group that played Live Aid via satellite from Moscow, isn't here? Vladimir Putin will be so ticked off.

And how come Bolivia isn't represented?

I'm wondering about that, too. After all, the Gross National Product of that country was thoroughly endorsed by rock musicians for nearly forty years!
