Why is it that "Friends" came out on DVD up to Season 8 before it ended, and they can't even get WTB Season 2 out before Christmas. What is the deal? I was asking for Season 1 for my birthday half a year ago!

I'd the season 2 DVD should be out around next June and if it sales well maybe one around next December. this is not confirmed, I based it on previous trends of other tv shows where they release a year after the first season. I don't think the sales for season one were big enough for sony to rush the next season out, so WTB could end up like Mary Tyler Moore and The Jeffersons with no more releases. another thing to look at is the show is one TV now so N@N might have a deal with Sony not to release the show until their contract expires. just a theory.

2-5 next year? That would make me poor quickly. I have enough on my plate with Cheers 4-7 coming out, plus The Brady Bunch and a bunch of others.

No, actually, the first season sold well. It wasnt a top-seller but it definatley sold well

Colombia always releases their shows slow.

I'm glad it sold well. but I am sure we'll see an announcement in January or Febuary when there could be few surprises of shows on DVD.

I want to know when FOL is coming out on DVD, lol! But yeah, WTB season 2 will probably be out by next Christmas if they believe sales will go well. I have noticed that many companies release things just around the Christmas holidays to get more sales. Like Harry Potter 3 and Book 6. They have the DVD sales through Christmas and the new year, and when sales slow down by summer, Book 6 will begin its sales, then the 4th movie will be in theatres and so on.

I think if the DVD sold well, they will try to release the 2nd one around next Christmas because they would get more sales.

Pure speculation on my part.

I really don't believe it sold so bad, we won't get the rest of the seasons released.

I know when I bought my S1 DVD the day it came out, when I got to the store there was 1 copy left, and I think Allison said when she went to get hers, one store she went too was sold out of them.

I went to Meijer about a month ago, and they had 1 copy left again, same with Best Buy, they had like 2 copies, and Best Buy stocks up on DVDs too
