Since I'll be away from the boards/forums this coming Thanksgiving week, I thought I'd post this now.
A very big happy birthday to Charles M. Schulz, creater of the comic strip Peanuts, the most successful in the history of comic strips! His characters Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder and countless others have touched millions of readers with their warm, funny insights on life, baseball and numerous other topics. The last daily strip occured January 3, 2000 and the last Sunday color strip appeared February 13, 2000 the day after Schulz died in his sleep at the age of 77. The Peanuts creator would have turned 82 on Friday, November 26. Happy birthday to the creator of the greatest comic strip ever!!

Wow! Charles Schultz would have turn 82 today. He created the comic strip back in 1951 until 2000 for a total of 49 years. He also did many of the Peanuts specials and a few movies and also a TV show called "The Charlie Brown & Snoopy Show". Happy birthday!!!

A publishing company called Fantagraphics Books is releasing a series of books called "The Complete Peanuts®," reprinting every Peanuts strip ever published. Fantagraphics Books website: http://www.fantagraphics.com I own the first two books and they are both incredible! You literally get to really see the evolution of the many Peanuts characters and in future books to come!!! The collection is staggering!!!

This thread is really old but I miss Charles Schulz so much. I still remember the day he passed away. I saw it on the front page and almost cried. I was at work and I called my husband to tell him.
