Yes, it is true. CMT has still not officially announced it, as soon as they do, I will bring you the details. It'll most likely be in February, just as Jeremy (CLASSICTV2003) said. Stay tuned for times and start date for Dukes on CMT...

The official announcement will be made next week at the TCA Winter Tour, but I have a sneak peek for everyone. Jeremy is right about the marathon starting Feb. 25, but here is some additional info:

Dukes of Hazzard Weekend
Friday, February 25: 9pm-12am (Inside Fame Special at 8pm and 12am)
Saturday, February 26: 2pm-11pm (Inside Fame Special at 9pm); 11:30pm-2:30am
Sunday, February 27: 3pm-10pm (Inside Fame Special at 2pm and 10pm)

The beloved Duke family joins the CMT family on Friday, February 25. The series kicks off with a full weekend marathon, with episodes landing in regularly scheduled timeslots beginning Monday, February 28 (series will air Monday – Friday at 7:00p, 11:00p and 2:00a ET). Bo and Luke Duke were handsome and honest hotshots (and cousins) living with their Uncle Jesse and sexy short-shorts-wearin' cousin Daisy on a farm in Hazzard County. While mostly interested in minding their own business (and driving at very high speeds in their souped-up Dodge Charger [nicknamed the General Lee]), the Duke boys sometimes fell prey to the greedy schemes of corrupt town leader Boss Hogg and his dimwitted flunky Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane. Sometimes serving as "Robin Hood" types (replete with bows and flaming arrows), the Dukes attempted to help out their friends and neighbors in distress and avoid being jailed by the unscrupulous Hogg.
(Marathon episodes coming soon...)

Catch the Hazzard gang weekdays at 7 p.m., 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. ET starting February 28!

Inside Fame: The Dukes of Hazzard
PREMIERES: Friday, February 25 at 8p ET
ENCORES: Feb 25 11:59pm; Feb 26 9pm; Feb. 27 2pm & 10pm
A close-knit family fights for justice against a corrupt political system in the Deep South. Sounds a little heavy doesn’t it? But throw in two hunks, a hottie and the most amazing stunt car this side of the Batmobile and you’ve got a formula for one of television’s most enduring and endearing shows of all time. The Dukes of Hazzard was not only a hit, it was a phenomenon and we examine its impact while celebrating its series premiere on CMT with CMT Inside Fame: The Dukes of Hazzard. The “Dukes” story is told through interviews with stars John Schneider, Tom Wopat, Catherine Bach and James Best along with guest stars, crew members, fans and critics who offer their opinions on the show’s remarkable success. It’s a fond and funny look back on this beloved evergreen program. However, it’s also a look ahead, not only to the show’s return to television but to the big screen as well. Slated for a July 2005 release, The Dukes of Hazzard Movie will feature Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville in the roles of Bo and Luke, Jessica Simpson as Daisy, Willie Nelson as Uncle Jessie and Burt Reynolds as the bumbling Boss Hogg. They’ll all be there along with Sheriff Roscoe, Cooter, Enos and Flash as The General Lee rides again on CMT Inside Fame: The Dukes of Hazzard.

PRESS RELEASE:

It's Short-Shorts, Fast Cars and Country Stars on CMT With the Return of 'THE DUKES OF HAZZARD' Series

CMT Kicks Off an All-Dukes Weekend with a New Episode of CMT Inside Fame
Featuring Original Stars John Schneider, Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Jan. 14 -- In 1979 the unmistakable
voice of music legend Waylon Jennings introduced America, in both theme song
and show narration, to Bo, Luke, and Daisy Duke, and a new pop culture
phenomenon exploded onto TV sets across the nation. CMT brings back THE DUKES
OF HAZZARD for a whole new generation of Dukes fans and long-time devotees
beginning with an all-Dukes weekend Friday, Feb. 25 through Sunday, Feb. 27
featuring the premiere of CMT INSIDE FAME: THE DUKES OF HAZZARD and CMT's
re-launch of the hit series.
It's the series that made short-shorts, fast cars and CB radios cool as
THE DUKES OF HAZZARD became a mainstay in American homes and hearts for seven
wildly successful seasons. Modern day Robin Hoods - cousins Bo, Luke, and
Daisy Duke along with their Uncle Jesse - fought the corrupt political system
in Hazzard County. In addition to Jennings' No. 1 hit song "Theme From The
Dukes of Hazzard (Good Ol' Boys)" and his narration of each episode, the
series was packed with guest appearances by country stars including Loretta
Lynn, the Oak Ridge Boys, Tammy Wynette, Buck Owens, Dottie West, and many
more.
CMT explores the cultural impact of the Dukes of Hazzard phenomenon in a
new episode of CMT INSIDE FAME, featuring new interviews with original stars
John Schneider (Bo Duke), Tom Wopat (Luke Duke), Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke),
James Best (Rosco P. Coltrane) and guest stars, crew members, fans and critics
who discuss the show's remarkable success. CMT INSIDE FAME, premiering Friday,
Feb. 25 at 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT,* offers a fond and funny look back on THE
DUKES OF HAZZARD.
Hazzard County hero John Schneider discusses the evergreen success of the
show in CMT INSIDE FAME. "The world stopped when the Dukes of Hazzard was
on," Schneider says. "And in a day and age when we have 800 channels and have
all these different things to watch, it still seems like the world stops when
the 'Dukes of Hazzard' comes on. There is something so welcoming about the
Dukes."
Immediately following CMT INSIDE FAME, CMT kicks-off a weekend marathon of
Dukes episodes beginning at 9:00 PM, ET/PT.* Starting with the series' very
first episode, CMT takes viewers through the speed traps and pitfalls of the
Dukes' adventures with the famed car, the General Lee. THE DUKES OF HAZZARD,
licensed to CMT by Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution, begins in its
regular weeknight timeslot of 7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT (repeats at 11:00 PM-12:00
Midnight) starting Monday, Feb. 28.
CMT, America's No. 1 country music network, carries original programming,
specials, and live concerts and events, as well as a mix of videos by
established country music artists and new cutting-edge acts, including world
premiere exclusive videos. Founded March 6, 1983, CMT, owned and operated by
MTV Networks, reaches more than 76.9 million households in the United States.

*EDITORS: CMT INSIDE FAME: THE DUKES OF HAZZARD debuts Friday, Feb. 25
at 8:00 PM, Eastern; 7:00 PM, Central; 9:00 PM, Mountain; and
8:00 PM, Pacific. THE DUKES OF HAZZARD debuts Friday, Feb. 25
