Joey and the ratings week 10

After ten new episodes, Joey appears to have settled into a steady ratings level, representing viewership from about eight percent of television households. (By comparison, this is less than half the average Friends ratings level over its ten very successful seasons.) Kicking off the third week of November sweeps, Joey pulled a preliminary estimate of an 8.0 rating and a 13 share on Thursday night, slightly better than last week's 7.7/12. Still, with an estimate of 11.9 million viewers, Joey ranked seventh for the night, as shown by the preliminary ratings.

Thanks to the amazing strength of more than 31 million viewers for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's hundredth episode, CBS continued to dominate with a 14.7/23 average, well ahead of NBC's second-place 10.3/16. As of last week, Joey ranks eighteenth in the season-to-date ratings with a 9.0/15 average. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has a stranglehold on the number-one spot with an 18.0/27, while Joey is the number-three sitcom behind Everybody Loves Raymond and Two and a Half Men. For the first time in over six years (not including coverage of the Olympic Games), NBC will not air its regular programming to begin its Thursday night lineup next week, as an hour-long new episode of Will & Grace will replace Joey and start Thanksgiving primetime for the network.
