So 'Mister Ed' and 'Green Acres' will only air on Sundays? That's weird especially with Green Acres being one of the most played shows right now. I guess come late January 'Wings' will only air on Fridays. I think one of the biggest problems with TV Land is they are excluding too many shows to one part of the week (Mister Ed, Green Acres, The Addams Family, Wings, Carol Burnett, Flip Wilson). The Munsters will only be on Tuesdays & Sundays.
The schedule is getting pretty drama heavy (9 hours a day on Weekdays). I guess that's kindof how it was that time last year. They sure are giving 'Highway to Heaven' a lot better treatment than they have 'Hunter'. I think it would be better if the 'Highway to Heaven' launch was a 48 hour weekend, instead of pre-empting all the programs between 9pm - 12am for a week. On that note, I'm happy the 9pm - 4am schedule is remaining the same. Happy to see Cheers and The Andy Griffith Show get mini-marathons. I'm a little confused with the 12pm - 2pm part of the schedule... Is this how it is? Saturdays: 12pm- MacGyver 1pm- Hunter Sundays: 12pm-The Andy Griffith Show/Leave it to Beaver 1pm- MacGyver I'm not too thrilled about the Chasing Farrah series. I think Farrah needs to take a hike along with Alf and Fatherhood. Cool to see 'The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour' and 'Fantasy Island' on the First Things First Marathon. Is there not going to be a last episodes marathon on New Years Eve? |

No, 12pm is TAGS/LITB and Hunter 1pm on both days of the weekend. Which means MacGyver only airs weekdays at 8am and 12pm, not on weekends. While the reaility show might not be a good idea, I am anxious to see what themed programming will air after the reality show from 10:30pm-1am. No, last episodes marathon. A marathon of the Top 100 Moments will air though from 7pm-12am, see Dec. thread. |

Well I haven't seen Highway to Heaven in a long time but I wish TV Land would start showing more classic sitcoms like Car 54, Where Are You and Our Miss Brooks.

I like alot more sitcoms then I do drama. I do like Three's Company, Mister Ed and Green Acres which are on TV Land now. I miss Barney Miller and other shows though.

Frankly, I don't watch much of anything on TV Land anymore.
I do think the current and upcoming regular schedule could use a lot of fixing. The first episodes marathon schedule would make a pretty decent regular schedule, just change a couple of things and it would be a good schedule. No show would be overlooked and most of them would have two airings a day. |

I see that they are still not showing the Captain Jack episode of Leave It To Beaver which was the first episode. I know probably why they are not showing it because it showed a toilet. What is so wrong with that episode?? They have been showing this episode for years in syndication.

GOOD:
nevermind BAD: First Things First.... not enough variety. Chasing Farrah.... plain and simple. Highway to Heaven Launch.... 48 Hour Marathons are better, especially considering it doesn't sound like a show I'd like. And, maybe it's just me.... but I think TVLand has too many dramas. I think the perfect thing is 10 Sitcoms, 4 Dramas. Sitcoms air twice a day, dramas air once. |

I think TVL should have 7 dramas and 14 sitcoms. Dramas are a part of TV history as well, and I think they should not be overlooked. I'd love it if they got the rights and aired a classic soap opera, but everyone already knows that lol. "Dark Shadows" or "Love of Life" would be perfect. DS has all of its 1225 episodes in existence and LOL has roughly 780 of it's around 7540 episodes in existence. An hour of DS in the afternoons and an hour of LOL at night, around 9PM and 9:30PM CT would be great!

I'd prefer to see shows that haven't been aired on other networks. Highway to Heaven was on another station, could still be and I never cared for that show. Now I will have to bypass it twice. . Sitcoms you can jam more in, 1/2 hour vs an hour show. You can have more variety. How long is gunsmoke, bonaza, and Mcgyer to run? None of those shows I like either.
