Scanlon from internal affairs is the worst. And Luger can be annoying too.

One of the episodes in the first season also had a black detective for an episode or two. And no, I'm not referring to Harris.

I didn't care for Scanlon. Luger was great though.

I thought Luger was hilarious; one of the funniest characters...Levitt was too much of a phony behind kisser towards Barney...

Dorsey was the one I liked the least. Scanlon was just fine as was Luger. Scanlon was the guy I liked to dislike, but his character was a great contrast to the rest of the cast.

I agree with you about Scanlon, he was one of those type of people that you love to hate....

Scanlon was great. He was a maniac, and his facial expressions were priceless. Luger was terrific too with his trips down Memory Lane.

My least favorite characters were the short-lived detectives. The main cast was incredible. Each character was a stroke of casting genius. They played off each other brilliantly.

I couldnt tolerant Roz from the 4th season; she was basically a replacement while Jack Soo was covering from just being treated from Cancer....

His death was very tragic. I used to post quite frequently on this board when Barney Miller was airing on TV Land, and we used to discuss Jack Soo in great detail.
They gave him a wonderful tribute show, which is more than I can say for the jerks at Cheers who did nothing when Nick Colasanto (Coach) passed away. They did nothing.
