I was surprised that the photograph turned out to be a childhood friend he'd wound up torturing (but was able to save?). I'd thought she'd have been his wife who had no idea of her fate in the wartorn nation.
Sawyer acted his best so far and it wasn't surprising he joined the rest at the golf course. I mean, what else is there to DO besides fish, boar hunt, swim and eat- and one can only read the same book so many times. Oh, I DO think he may be right about Lily becoming interested in him- as when she kissed him last week, it was with a LOT more emotion than someone doing the minimal amount to just barter for what she needed. Interesting that Sun now seems to be administering the eucalytus salve without anyone questioning it- but doesn't seem to be speaking English to anyone. I thought eucalyptus only grew in Australia naturally. The French woman Danielle seemed quite a basket case. I wonder if her 'child' Alex is still alive and will be even more feral than she's become? Also, interesting that the episode's close didn't resolve whether Sayid had successfully escaped her or will be able to return to the others. I wonder what Locke will do with Michael's son Walt in training him with the knives? Will Michael regret blowing off Walt for golf- and how much? At least Hurley was given something useful to do- lifting morale! No sighting of the African-American middle-aged passenger Rose in weeks. Look forward to two weeks from now! |

It did seem that a few new faces were seen playing golf. Sawyers arm seem to heal quickly. From the way he was using it it seems so well. Didn't his injury affect a major artery?
Yes I did read somewhere that eukilipus (i just can't spell it) does only grow in Australia. |

I looked it up and eucalyptus trees are only native to Australia and New Zealand but the can grow in other parts of the world- so this would be evidence that someone came before them to this island and transplanted the trees!
