Default Next all-new T70sS episode: "You can't always get what you want!" 11/24/04

Kitty is upset when she discovers the kids have plans of their own for Thanksgiving dinner. Red ultimately guilts Eric into giving up his Styx concert tickets to stay home for the holiday. Meanwhile, Hyde prepares for the grand opening of his dad's record store and ends up clashing over business decisions with his new half sister.

THANK YOU SO MUCH MICK JAGGER!

Some pretty good stuff tonight, though nothing amazing.

The Styx stuff was funny but overdone.

Two circles in one episode, rehashing the same joke? No thanks.

Eric was pretty funny in this one, being the only one in line. I also enjoyed Red as usual. The scene around the dinner table was okay, too.

One thumb up tonight.

Basically there is nothing to the episodes anymore, no real feeling, no sense of the characters.

I just watched a rerun of Tornado Prom from season 4 and even though it is not an outstanding episode of that season, it blows the doors off any one from this year.

The definition of the characters , the crisp writing, the purpose and sense of direction in the plot, it all is so much more tangible.

Just the dialogue itself is so right on target for each character and done in a more relevant manner.

I'm sorry I ever thought season 4 lacked, it is actually quite good and is the last great season of the show.

i really liked tonights ep, i havent laughed at a 70s show ep that hard in a long time the stealing milk crates was funny esp when donna was coming on to the milkman sure its kind of a rehash of things they have done before but this time it worked .also i liked the eric being the only one in line that was funny also. you know i liked styx growing up but i never knew it was uncool to like styx in the 70s but then again i was only 8 in 1979 so what did i know.?.

Hi there snl75! I actually think that This show is really letting themselves go now since you know The whole Hyde/Angie thing is really making at least some sense. But you know what snl75, I think that since this would likely be the last season on FOX, do you think another network will pick up T70sS since I know what they did with another Carsey-Werner show Grounded for Life (2001-2005) when it aired on FOX for 2 seasons (2001-2002) and then the WB (2002-2005). But I think if their last sseason would be on the WB or on UPN then 1980 would really look upon!

Just wondering if any of you have noticed that Donna and Eric have not had a real conversation in 2 seasons?
Aren't they still supposed to be dating?

If you have watched since the beginning you know this is the core of the whole show.

And there is your lack of any substance to this show at the moment.

Not bad. I agree though, the circle twice in one episode with pretty much the same jokes...bad idea. Eric and the concert were kinda funny, but the record store stuff just wasn't all that interesting. And, OK, I know this show has never been huge on continuity, but it's Thanksgiving of 1979. That means that were they to keep the show in the 70s, all the rest of their shows for the rest of the season have to occur in one month. Seems to be pushing it. I mean, I guess they could go over into the 80s. I had always hoped though that the final episode would be New Years of 1980. I guess only time will tell.
